Protocol Documentation

Ark is an on-chain market and reward system built around explicit routes.

The interface is organized around Trade, Board, Lock, and My Positions. Each route previews the expected output, applies slippage protection, and keeps the signed action narrow.

Trade

Trade buys liquid ARK with native ETH and sells liquid ARK back to native ETH through the official pool. Buying and selling use dedicated executors so the path is easy to inspect.

Board

Board With ETH swaps through the discounted direct boarding route and immediately creates a boarded position. Board Existing ARK uses liquid wallet balance and mints bARK receipts.

Lock

Lock With ETH swaps directly into a vault lock. Lock Existing ARK uses liquid wallet balance. Active locks receive lARK and can accrue ARK and ETH rewards while eligible.

My Positions

My Positions is the control surface for claim, compound, exit, and unlock actions. Batch actions ask for confirmation before exiting or unlocking multiple positions.

Fees

Standard pool buys and sells use the production fee settings. Direct board and direct lock entry routes receive frozen hook-level buy fee overrides. WETH fees are routed between protocol fees, locked rewards, buybacks, and Harbor liquidity according to deployed parameters.

Rewards

Boarded positions accrue ARK rewards on active boarded principal. Locks accrue by maturity epoch and can receive both ARK and ETH-denominated rewards. Locked rewards that arrive before eligible lock supply exists are not stranded in the vault.

Contracts

The active deployment state lives in the protocol repository under state/. Treat that state file and read-only postflight artifacts as the source of truth for current addresses.

Game Theory

Ark rewards longer-term participation through boarded and locked positions while keeping liquid trading available. Buybacks and liquidity reinforcement are maintenance paths, not user custody paths, and are bounded by on-chain configuration.
